Senior Backend Integration Engineer

THIS IS A LONG TERM CONTRACT POSITION WITH ONE OF THE LARGEST, GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY LEADERS.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and microservices using Node.js
• Build and deploy services on AWS using:
• Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3
• ECS, Glue, EventBridge
• SQS, SNS
• Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Debug and resolve production issues within defined SLAs
• Create and maintain HLD/LLD documentation
• Implement monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, and AWS X-Ray
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline
• Implement security best practices (IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager)
• Use Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, CDK, Serverless Framework)
• Develop automated tests using Mocha, Jest, and mocking frameworks
• Collaborate via GitHub (PR reviews) and track progress using Jira

Required Skills

• 6+ years of backend development experience
• Strong hands-on experience in Node.js
• Deep expertise in AWS microservices architecture
• Experience with CI/CD automation (Jenkins preferred)
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices
• Experience with observability tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, CloudWatch)
• Knowledge of IAM and cloud security best practices
• Working knowledge of IaC tools
• Experience building enterprise integration services

Preferred Skills

• Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Fargate
• Exposure to enterprise integration domains (ERP, Order-to-Cash, Accounts Receivable)
• Python-based microservices experience
• Exposure to GenAI applications using RAG / MCP frameworks

Primary Skills: Node.js, AWS Cloud Development, Exposure to CI/CD through Jenkins

Secondary Skills: Observability Tools- Splunk/Dyntatrace/Cloud Watch, Exposure to JAVA & Python, Integration Domain
