About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build and scale high-performance backend systems powering mission-critical applications. This role is ideal for someone with strong computer science fundamentals, hands-on Python backend expertise, and experience working with compute and I/O-intensive systems at scale.

Youll work closely with engineering and product teams to design resilient architectures, optimize performance, and ensure reliability in high-throughput environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale complex backend systems using Python, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability
• Optimize applications for speed, concurrency, and efficient resource utilization
• Architect systems capable of handling high concurrency and large data volumes
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable system designs
• Work with advanced data stores such as Redis, PostgreSQL, and ClickHouse
• Enforce best practices around clean code, testing, CI/CD, and deployment standards
• Continuously improve system performance, fault tolerance, and observability

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of backend development experience using Python in production environments
• Strong grounding in data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Proven experience scaling compute and I/O-intensive applications
• Experience handling concurrent requests at scale and optimizing backend performance
• Hands-on experience with Redis, PostgreSQL, and/or ClickHouse
• Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities

Nice to Have

• Experience in the financial or fintech domain
• Exposure to building high-availability, low-latency systems
