Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) – FinTech & Payments

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) located in Bengaluru.

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) to join our high-performance engineering team building secure, scalable, cloud-native financial services.

This role is strictly for engineers with real FinTech experience and deep payment processing exposure.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang.

Develop APIs using Gin framework and manage data access using GORM.

Build and optimize RESTful APIs and gRPC services for high-throughput, low-latency systems.

Define and implement microservices architecture, API contracts, service boundaries, and versioning strategies.

Implement event-driven architectures using Kafka / SQS / RabbitMQ.

Develop concurrency models, asynchronous processing, schedulers, and background workers.

Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability using profiling, load testing, Redis caching, rate limiting, retries, circuit breakers, and idempotency controls.

Design and optimize SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis) databases.

Containerize services using Docker and deploy/manage workloads on Kubernetes.

Deploy and operate services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (automated builds, testing, security scans, and controlled releases).

Provide L2/L3 production support, incident handling, RCA, and SLA-driven restoration.

Ensure compliance with PCI DSS and applicable Central Bank standards.

Design and support ISO 8583 message processing for payment/EFT transactions.

Work under Visa mandates and card scheme compliance requirements.

Mandatory Requirements

Minimum 5+ years backend development experience.

Minimum 2+ years FinTech domain experience (mandatory).

Strong hands-on experience in Golang.

Proven experience in ISO 8583 message processing.

Experience working under Visa mandates / card scheme compliance.
