Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Backend Developer with Elintis Technologies based in Bengaluru. The Senior Backend Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain server-side applications. Responsibilities include building and implementing robust APIs, managing client-server interactions, ensuring optimal server functionality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute scalable and efficient backend solutions. The role also involves analyzing and improving existing server-side architecture to enhance performance and reliability.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with 7+ year of experience to design and build scalable, reliable backend

systems that power our product. You will play a key role in system architecture, performance

optimization, and backend scalability.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications

Build and maintain APIs and backend services

Implement asynchronous processing and event-driven systems

Work closely with frontend and product teams to deliver end-to-end features

Design and optimize databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)

Implement and manage caching strategies to improve system performance

Ensure application security, reliability, and scalability

Participate in system architecture and technical decision-making

Review code and mentor junior engineers

Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing systems

Requirements

7+ years of experience in Backend Development

Strong expertise in one or more backend languages/frameworks, such as:

Python (Django / FastAPI)

Node.js (Express / NestJS)

Java (Spring Boot)

PHP (Laravel)

Ruby on Rails

Hands-on experience with message queues and background task processing,

including Kafka and Celery

Strong understanding of caching mechanisms, especially Redis

Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and system design

Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases

Strong foundation in OOP principles and software design patterns

Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment environments

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Nice to Have

Experience designing distributed or high-availability systems

Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

Startup experience or ownership of production systems
