Senior Back End Developer

VRIZE is hiring a Senior Back End Developer to join a high-performing engineering team supporting a large-scale retail enterprise platform. If you are passionate about building scalable, high-performance applications in a modern microservices ecosystem, this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs supporting Catalog and Merchandising systems
• Develop microservices-based solutions for high-volume retail platforms
• Implement business logic related to product catalog, pricing, promotions, and content management
• Collaborate with frontend, product, QA, and DevOps teams for feature delivery
• Optimize application performance and ensure high availability
• Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
• Support production troubleshooting and continuous improvements

Required Technical Skills

• 8 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development
• Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture
• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles
• Experience with SQL databases (Oracle/MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience with build tools such as Maven/Gradle
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD tools (Jenkins or similar)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Experience or exposure to Java 21 (preferred)

Domain Knowledge (Preferred)

• Understanding of Retail / eCommerce domain concepts
• Exposure to Product Catalog, Merchandising workflows, Pricing, Inventory, or CMS systems
• Experience working on high-traffic, distributed retail platforms
