Job Type: Contractor

Work Mode: Remote

Duration: Long Term (1 Year Extendable)

Brief About the Role:

vWe are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure and scalable Azure network architectures.

vThe role involves building hybrid connectivity, secure network environments, and high availability solutions.

vThe candidate will play a key role in network design, optimization, security, and troubleshooting across enterprise cloud environments.

Key Skills & Technical Expertise:

Azure Networking

• Strong experience in:
• Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), Subnets
• VNet Peering & Network Segmentation
• Azure Load Balancer & Application Gateway
• Azure Front Door & Traffic Manager

Hybrid Connectivity

• Hands-on experience with:
• Site-to-Site VPN
• Point-to-Site VPN
• ExpressRoute
• Integration with on-premise data centers

Network Security

• Expertise in:
• Network Security Groups (NSG)
• Azure Firewall
• Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• DDoS Protection
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust Architecture

DNS & Routing

• Azure DNS, Private DNS Zones
• Custom DNS configurations
• Routing concepts, UDR (User Defined Routes), BGP

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Azure Network Watcher
• Log Analytics & Azure Monitor
• Packet capture, connection troubleshooting
• Performance tuning & latency analysis

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Experience with:
• Terraform
• ARM Templates / Bicep
• Automating network deployments

Scripting & Automation

• Strong scripting skills in:
• PowerShell
• Azure CLI
• Python (Nice to Have)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design and implement secure Azure network architectures
• Configure and manage hybrid connectivity solutions
• Implement network security and governance policies
• Monitor network performance and ensure high availability
• Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues
• Automate network provisioning using IaC tools
• Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, and security teams
• Optimize cost and performance of Azure network resources
• Maintain documentation and best practices
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities

Soft Skills & Professional Attributes:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to work independently in remote setup
• Proactive mindset with ownership
• Mentoring junior engineers

Certifications (Preferred):

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500 Nice to Have)

Nice to Have:

• Experience in multi-cloud (AWS/GCP networking)
• Knowledge of SD-WAN & network virtualization
• Exposure to Kubernetes networking (AKS)
• Understanding of FinOps / cost optimization
• Experience in enterprise-scale environments
