Role Description

This is a part-time Senior Automation Testing Consultant role based in Chennai with a hybrid work model that allows some flexibility for remote work. The role involves designing, developing, and executing test cases, implementing test automation frameworks, and conducting quality assurance to ensure high-quality software releases. Responsibilities include mobile testing, performance assessments, and identifying and resolving software defects to enhance system reliability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is a key aspect of this role.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 68 years of proven experience in Software Testing, with a strong focus on both Automation and Manual Testing.

• Strong understanding and hands-on application of Quality Assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices
• Extensive experience in test execution, defect tracking, and test reporting
• Proficient in writing, reviewing, implementing, and maintaining Test Cases, Test Scripts, and Test Plans
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools such as:
• Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber
• Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools
• Good knowledge of automation techniques, including:
• Data-driven testing
• Keyword-driven testing
• Ability to analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with:
• Developers
• Product Owners
• Other stakeholders
• Ability to mentor junior testers and contribute to continuous process improvement

• Experience in API testing, database testing, and cross-browser testing
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
