Senior Automation Development Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Design, create and refine automation scripts using python or Robot Framework for access network products.
• Trouble shooting router, switch, OLT, home gateway, L2/L3 protocol issues found during the test
• Follow end to end Automation development process including analysing the test case, writing reusable API, writing script, follow the review guideline to ensure the script run in the production, monitor the script execution and finding quality bugs
• Keep improve automation test efficiency and script stability.
• Work on improving the code quality
• Design automated test coverage strategies based on release requirements.
• Design polymorphic test strategy for automation test.
• Continuous effort on reviewing and improving performance test process and efficiency.
• Understand and able to work on scrum model process for providing.
• Collaborate with all stakeholder to ensure meeting the time line and deliver good quality test scripts
• Communicating status to management.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience developing in Python or Robot Framework.
• 4+ years of experience for data communications or telecommunications equipment automation test.
• Have strong ability to trouble shooting failure scripts, analysis script random failures with good methodology.    
• Experience with automation execution and failure analysis
• Experience with Jenkins, Bamboo, Jira, Git, Bitbucket
• Experience with traffic generators like IXIA, Spirent test Centre, TREX
• Good read and written English communication skills. And good team player.
• Self-motivated, persistent, fast learner, and innovative.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• B.E/B.Tech in ECE, ETC or Computer science branch
• MCA or MTech in the relative field

Preferred Skill:

• Knowledge in the following areas: DHCPv4/v6, DNS, IGMP, PIM, PPPoE, OMCI
• Knowledge in the following areas: BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS, PW etc.
• Experience with broadband access technologies – especially DSL/G.fast and fiber access (GPON, XGS-PON) – is highly recommended, since the role deals with those systems
• Strong Linux skills and familiarity with virtualization/containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, KVM, VMware)
• Cisco or industry certifications (e.g. CCIE, CCNP, DevNet) are a plus.
• Familiarity with network test frameworks (Pytest, PyART, Robot Framework).
• Knowledge of network programmability interfaces and protocols, such as CLI,SNMP, gNMI, NETCONF, YANG, REST APIs
• Experience with AI/ML in test analysis is a plus

• India – (Flexible hybrid work model - work from Bangalore office for 20 days in a quarter)
