Senior Associate

Role Description:

This is a full-time, on-site position as a Senior Associate at VLLP's Mumbai office. The Senior Associate shall have experience of minimum 5 years and will be responsible for managing and representing clients in legal cases, drafting and reviewing legal documents, advising clients across various legal domains, conducting legal research, and collaborating with other team members to ensure success in all cases handled by the firm. The role requires regular interaction with clients, legal professionals, court authorities, government authorities etc. with a strong emphasis on providing exceptional service and upholding the firm's values.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in civil and commercial litigation, including representing clients and legal support for trials and other legal proceedings before various courts and tribunals including High Court and NCLT;
• Proven experience in corporate transactions and business documentation. Strong proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, and agreements;
• Expertise in Arbitration, Mediation, and Alternative Dispute Resolution methods.
• In-depth understanding of company laws, contract laws, arbitration and insolvency and bankruptcy;
• Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills;
• Demonstrated ability travel for work and to work collaboratively, independently, and under strict timelines while managing multiple cases; and
• Law degree from an accredited institution and enrolment in the Bar Council of India. Additional certifications in specialised legal areas are a plus.
