Senior Consultant – Urban Transport

PricewaterhouseCoopers India is looking to hire a Senior Consultant - Transport (with 6-10
years of work experience) for their Cities Advisory practice based out of Pune.

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough analyses of transportation systems, traffic flow, parking, and other
transport related initiatives to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
2. Collaborate with government agencies and stakeholders to develop transportation
policies, strategies, and plans that align with community needs and regulatory
requirements.
3. Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and recommendations based on
research findings and analysis results.
4. Assist in the evaluation and selection of transportation projects, including cost-benefit
analysis and feasibility studies.
5. Participate in public consultations and stakeholder engagement activities to gather
input and feedback on transportation initiatives.
6. Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks and proposing mitigation
strategies as needed.
7. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in
transportation planning and development.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant work experience, with a focus on government
projects.
2. Experience of working on infrastructure projects related to Urban transportation (public
transportation system, roads, bridges, drainage, etc).
3. Experience of working with states / cities in preparation / review of DPRs / project
design / implementation / quality monitoring of construction works / providing technical
guidance / capacity building.
4. Experience in working on public transportation projects like- BRTS / City bus services /
non-motorised transport /transport planning or similar.
5. Strong understanding of transportation planning principles, traffic concepts, and urban
mobility challenges.
6. Knowledge of government procurement processes, regulations, and policies related to
transportation projects.

7. Proficiency in digital transportation technologies and platforms, such as ITS, GIS,
mobility-as-a-service (MaaS), and real-time data analytics is an advantage.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with
diverse stakeholders and facilitate workshops and presentations.
9. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and thrive in
a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B. Tech./ B. Plan. / B.Arch.) in Transport Planning/
Urban Planning/ Civil Engineering/Architecture, or a related field. Masters/ MBA degree is
required.
