We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Mainframe Engineer to join our team. This role is located in Pune, MH.

 

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required 5-8 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• In depth knowledge of IBM Mainframe z/OS environment with current hands-on development, coding experience
• Must have knowledge of programming languages COBOL, CICS. Experience with various file systems VSAM/FLAT/GDG
• Strong knowledge of JCL/TSO/ISPF. Knowledge of job scheduling ( Control-M)
• Understanding of DB2 database system. Experience with RPG II is a big plus
• Strong in CICS with knowledge CICS tables and transactions.
• Strong   Knowledge of  MQ on  Z/OS
• Ability to use various third party tools like INSYNC, SyncSort for data extraction, manipulation and load of VSAM. Should be able to run and analyze test jobs for various testing needs of QA/ UAT teams
• Hands on experience with Endevor and familiarity with ETL, file transmissions mechanisms, NDM is a plus.
• Hands on expiernce with Gitlab development  with CI/CD pipeline and   IBM  IDZ IDE   expertise  a must.
• Must be a self starter and able to research, identify a problem and solution. Must have good communication skills, interaction with UAT and business teams
• Experience with large financial applications integrated in a distributed setup with various modern technologies. 

 

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, with advanced degree preferred  
• Experience working with RDBMS (Oracle), SQL, No-SQL or unstructured database is must. 
• 5-8 years of experience as Oracle SQL, PL SQL knowledge with good hands on. 
• Should be comfortable with the following technology stack, tools and processes:   
• Java or Python will be a plus.
