Job Description
Role purpose
Assist the group reporting team in various areas of responsibility, including Treasury Accounting and Month-end close reporting. Audit support for group and statutory audit. Financial reporting and tax reporting for financing companies.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with maintenance and generation of accounting module in the treasury management system (TMS)
- Preparation of accounting entries and schedules related to derivative valuation
- Preparation of bond amortization schedule and effective rate calculation
- Reviewing month end FX rates, interest rates and FX forward valuation
- Completion of HFM validations for Group reporting
- Review of daily treasury controls
- Continuous review of static data and processes in TMS to ensure data integrity and to identify process improvements
- Handle treasury operational risks through establishing, maintaining and executing robust controls
- Preparation of statutory trial balance and financial statement of financing companies
- Supporting on audit queries and timely completion of stat audit
- Coordinating with tax team and tax advisors for tax calculation. Reconcile tax balances and resolving any open item
- Review and reconciliation of balances for treasury activity
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliation of financing companies
- Preparation of blackline reconciliations for bond and derivative accounts
- Preparation of support schedules for the Group audit
- Processing of journal entries in oracle and SAP
- Identify all open items as part of daily bank reconciliation and work with treasury team for timely closure
- Reviewing and supporting internal teams to clear the balance from clearing account
- Reviewing Integrity to GL reconciliation to ensure that there are no mismatches
- Supporting on projects
Minimum requirements
- Degree (or equivalent) and relevant professional qualification
- Strong accounting skills, with a focus on delivering results and be able to collaborate effectively with others in a team environment.
Skills and knowledge
- Qualified or part qualified accountant
- Ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues
- Pro-active behaviour that demonstrates initiative and positive work ethic to ensure activities are delivered to the required time and quality
- Strong system skills and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly. Experience of Oracle, SAP, HFM and Integrity Treasury Management System are highly desirable.
- Strong process orientation, with ability to design robust control frameworks
- Self-starter, able to take initiative and be prepared to take the lead in resolving issues and improving processes
