Position description:

3+ years of experience in Android development.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement robust Android applications using Java and Kotlin.

Architect and build reusable SDK components, especially leveraging Jetpack Compose and modular Kotlin libraries.

Apply strong DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms) knowledge to design efficient, scalable, and performant solutions.

Ensure adherence to clean code practices, security standards, and development best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines. 

Break down complex projects into manageable modules, track execution, and ensure milestone delivery.

Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend teams to deliver seamless, user-centric applications.

Translate business requirements into reliable, maintainable technical solutions.

Maintain strong ownership of feature delivery from design to deployment and ongoing support.

Stay updated with the latest trends in Android development, tools, libraries, and best practices.

Proactively identify technical debt and propose refactoring or optimization opportunities.

Advocate for modern Android development methodologies including modularization, dependency injection, and Compose-first UI design. 

Troubleshoot dependency conflicts, resolve versioning issues, and ensure proper semantic versioning and compatibility for shared artifacts.

Guide and mentor junior developers when required

Background and Experience

3+ years of hands-on Android development experience, with at least 2 year working in Kotlin & compose.

Strong command of Java, Kotlin, and Android SDK.

Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and their practical application in building performant apps & SDKs.

Deep understanding of architectural patterns like MVVM, MVI, and Clean Architecture.

Strong experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, and other modern Android toolkits.

Proven experience in building, maintaining, and publishing Android SDKs or libraries (e.g., to Maven Central or JitPack, generating AARs).

Expertise in handling multi-module projects, resolving Gradle dependency issues, and managing version compatibility.

Experience working with RESTful APIs, JSON, Retrofit, Room, and Dagger/Hilt.

Proficient with Git and collaborative workflows, CI/CD such as Bitrise.

Strong debugging, profiling, and performance tuning capabilities.

Deep knowledge of mobile application architecture, offline-first strategies, and app security best practices.
