Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Product Specialist (T) with 8 to 12 years of experience in Omni Script OmniPlus Shell scripting VSAM JCL and COBOL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Life and Annuities Insurance. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of technical and domain skills to drive product success.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and maintenance of complex applications using Omni Script OmniPlus Shell scripting VSAM JCL and COBOL.
  • Oversee the implementation of technical solutions to meet business requirements in the Life and Annuities Insurance domain.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members on best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and enhancements.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance to meet user expectations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all technical processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency.
  • Analyze and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive innovation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

    • Qualifications

  • Must have strong experience in Omni Script OmniPlus Shell scripting VSAM JCL and COBOL.
  • Must have domain expertise in Life and Annuities Insurance.
  • Should have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Should possess strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Nice to have experience in Agile methodologies.
  • Nice to have knowledge of cloud technologies.

    • Certifications Required

    Certified in Life and Health Insurance COBOL Programming Certification
