Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infra. Technology Specialist with 8 to 12 years of experience in iSeries/AS400 Administration. The ideal candidate will work in a hybrid model with rotational shifts. This role involves managing and maintaining our iSeries/AS400 systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our IT infrastructure and contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain iSeries/AS400 systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Oversee system backups recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning.Provide technical support and troubleshooting for iSeries/AS400 related issues.Implement and monitor system security measures to protect data and systems.Perform regular system upgrades and patches to keep systems up-to-date.Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate iSeries/AS400 systems with other technologies.Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations processes and procedures.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Provide training and support to end-users on iSeries/AS400 systems.Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to ensure system efficiency.Assist in the development and implementation of IT projects related to iSeries/AS400 systems.
Qualifications
Possess strong experience in iSeries/AS400 Administration with a deep understanding of system operations.Demonstrate expertise in system backups recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning.Have a solid understanding of system security measures and best practices.Show proficiency in troubleshooting and providing technical support for iSeries/AS400 systems.Exhibit knowledge of system upgrades patches and performance monitoring.Display the ability to collaborate effectively with other IT teams and stakeholders.Maintain excellent documentation skills for system configurations and procedures.Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.Provide effective training and support to end-users.Participate in on-call rotation and handle critical system support.Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning.Assist in IT project development and implementation.Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
