Job Title: Senior Associate Legal (Arbitration - Contracts)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate Legal to manage arbitration matters and commercial contract advisory for our clients. The role requires strong expertise in arbitration proceedings, contract drafting, and dispute resolution. The candidate will be responsible for independently handling arbitration cases, supporting litigation arising out of arbitration, and providing strategic legal advice to clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end arbitration proceedings, including drafting pleadings, statements of claim, defense, and written submissions
  • Represent and assist in matters before arbitral tribunals and courts in arbitration-related proceedings
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including MSAs, SLAs, NDAs, and other business agreements
  • Provide legal advisory to clients by identifying risks and recommending practical legal solutions
  • Manage arbitration-related court matters such as Section 9, 11, 34, and 37 petitions
  • Coordinate with clients, experts, external counsel, and internal stakeholders on case strategy
  • Review legal documentation and ensure compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations
  • Support contract lifecycle management and compliance monitoring
  • Mentor and guide junior associates and review their legal work
  • Maintain proper documentation, case records, and legal research for ongoing matters
  • Present legal strategies and updates to clients and senior management when required


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 57 years of experience in arbitration and commercial contract law
  • Strong experience in handling arbitration matters independently
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing commercial contracts
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
  • Experience in dispute resolution and arbitration-related litigation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work independently
  • Strong stakeholder management and client handling skills
  • Experience working with law firms is preferred


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Law (LL.B.) Mandatory
  • Enrollment with Bar Council Mandatory
  • Masters degree in Law (LL.M.) Preferred
  • Experience in infrastructure, real estate, or commercial arbitration is an advantage
  • Exposure to international arbitration is a plus
