On Wheel Crash Fire Tender

• Check, Monitor & Maintain the allotted vehicle.
• Check, Monitor & Maintain equipment and communication systems. 
• In case of emergency / fire call immediate turn-out and prompt action to be taken and as per instruction of SSO.

On Wheel Water Tender

• Check, Monitor & Maintain the allotted vehicle.
• Check, Monitor & Maintain equipment and communication systems. 
• In case of emergency / fire call to augment the water supply to the crash Fire Tender as and when required.

Assistant-FWT (Fire Watch Tower) 

• Check all the communication systems, crash bell, PA system and ensure its serviceability.
• Maintain alertness at all times in Watch Tower and watch the flight movements in the air field and adjoining areas and he will assist Fire Watch Tower in Charge.
• On receipt of any fire / emergency call / observation of accident or incident, prompt action to be taken as per laid down procedure mentioned in Airport Emergency Plan, in co-ordination with Fire Watch Tower in Charge.
• Any bird concentration or animal intrusion observed in the air field to be informed immediately to Apron Control.

In-Charge Fire Control Room (Terminal Building) 

• Check the panel board of Fire Detection & Alarm system and its serviceability. If any defect is noticed the same will be entered in defect register to bring to the knowledge of Department of Electronics and also to Shift I/C & MFS for immediate rectification.
• Check the communication systems. Maintain log book of FCR.
• Carry out periodic inspection of terminal buildings to ensure fire prevention measures. If any hydrant / sprinkler system defect noted should be entered in the defect register and informed to Civil /Electronic/ Electrical Department.
• In case of fire call / fire alarm send on Duty Aviation Fire Fighter to the incident/accident site immediately and inform Fire Watch Tower for any further requirements.
• In case of requirement to suppress the fire, use nearest fire extinguishers or fire hydrants & timely inform to In Charge of respective Fire control room.
• On arrival of Crash Fire Tender/City Fire Brigade, guide them to the correct location.
• Send Aviation Fire Fighter to inspect the building on every three hours, carrying R/T set and make an entry in occurrence book. If any fire hazardous unsafe condition material accumulation is noticed, the same should be brought to the knowledge of Terminal Manager.
• Continues watch on detection panel and communication systems and update occurrence log book.

Any other duties assigned by superiors.

A 12^th std level passed in science preferably from an institute/ board recognized by AICTE.

Experience:

 Essential: 6 months basic fire fighting course.  

Min 3 Years of experience in Rescue and fire services operations at an Airport.

Technical / Functional Skills Required:

A computer literate with heavy duty driving license and basic fire fighting course with knowledge of basic first Aid.
