About the Team and the Role:

The AtherStack Quality team at Ather is responsible for ensuring the quality of our intelligent vehicle software systems through rigorous quality assurance and process frameworks.

This role is for an Engineer ASQ - Firmware, focused on driving end-to-end reviews and the implementation of high-standard firmware quality processes to enhance our product offerings. 

Responsibilities:

• Execute end-to-end design reviews of new features and algorithms while ensuring robust code review and impact analysis closure.
  
  

• Establish and manage strong processes for software change management and design quality checklists.
  
  

• Document lessons learned and drive effective implementation in subsequent development and release phases.
  
  

• Perform failure mode avoidance analysis on every feature and drive root cause analysis for development and production issues.
  
  

• Ensure comprehensive test case development and work with teams to establish strong Design Verification Plans (DVP).
  
  

• Define, track, and report firmware quality metrics effectively to monitor system health.
  
  

• Oversee code architecture to ensure alignment with agreed safety standards and prioritize bug fixes for the team.
  
  

• Develop system logs, alerts, and automated testing ideas in collaboration with the validation team to analyze field and test performance.
  
  

Experience and Qualifications:

•  BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech degree in electronics/electrical engineering.

•  3-5 years experience in firmware quality assurance roles.

Must Have Competencies:

• Knowledge and implementation experience in any of the quality frameworks like ASPICE, CMMI, ISO 26262
  
  

• Performing Gap Analysis and identifying the processes that suit quality framework and organisational needs
  
  

• Proficiency in the 8D problem-solving methodology, with an emphasis on defining and implementing preventive actions.
  
  

Good to have Competencies:

• Understanding of CAN communication protocols and their application in vehicle diagnostics.
  
  

• Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture standards for automotive software development.
  
  

• Practical knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing methodologies for firmware validation.

• Utilize C/C++ and SQL queries to create and build automated metrics dashboards.
