Job Summary

As the Senior Technical Architect for Machine Learning, you are the technical visionary and north star for Quantiphi's AI practice on Google Cloud Platform. You will define how Fortune 500 enterprises leverage artificial intelligence across all ML/AI domains - from generative AI and agentic systems to traditional machine learning and computer vision. This role is for a distinguished expert who translates cutting-edge research into production systems, builds differentiated intellectual property, and advises C-level executives on technology transformation.

Responsibilities

Strategic Vision & Innovation

• Define the technical strategy and multi-year roadmap for the GCP AI practice, setting the technical bar for all engagements
• Lead applied R&D translating cutting-edge AI research into production-ready systems and differentiated intellectual property
• Evaluate frontier technologies and emerging AI capabilities, assessing applicability and defining adoption strategies
• Serve as ultimate technical authority on the most complex and strategically important client engagements

Enterprise Leadership & Governance

• Partner with client CTOs and Chief AI Officers to define AI's transformational role in business strategy
• Establish and evolve enterprise AI platform architectures spanning generative AI, agentic systems, traditional ML, and computer vision
• Define practice-wide approaches to multi-agent orchestration, autonomous systems governance, and ML systems at scale
• Guide strategic technology decisions including build-versus-buy assessments and vendor partnerships

Generative AI & Agentic Excellence

• Establish thought leadership in agentic AI architectures, multi-agent orchestration patterns, and autonomous system governance
• Define practice approaches to prompt engineering, context engineering, and LLMOps excellence
• Lead innovation on frontier capabilities including reasoning systems and knowledge integration

Traditional ML & Computer Vision Leadership

• Define standards for forecasting, recommendation systems, and statistical modelling at enterprise scale
• Establish best practices for feature engineering, model governance, and statistical validation
• Lead research on emerging computer vision and multimodal techniques for enterprise applications

Practice & Ecosystem Leadership

• Establish standards, frameworks, and intellectual property that guide the entire practice - Develop proprietary AI platforms, accelerators, and vertical-specific solutions - Serve as executive interface to Google Cloud AI/ML product teams, influencing roadmaps based on enterprise needs
• Build strategic relationships with AI vendors, research institutions, and industry consortiums
• Define technical competencies, skills frameworks, and hiring strategies for the practice

Required Qualifications

• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent extensive demonstrated expertise)
• 15+ years of progressive AI/ML leadership with distinguished track record of innovation and technical excellence
• Demonstrated senior technical leadership with history of defining strategy for practice or major organizational initiatives
• Exceptional business acumen with extensive C-level engagement experience on technology strategy and transformation
• Comprehensive mastery of enterprise AI architectures spanning agentic systems, multi-agent platforms, knowledge management, traditional ML, and computer vision - Deep understanding of AI foundations (transformers, neural architectures, diffusion models, reinforcement learning) and practical application at scale
• Expert-level knowledge spanning the full AI stack from foundation models to production deployment and governance
• Comprehensive knowledge of cloud ML platforms with deep GCP expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Recognized thought leader in AI community through keynote speaking, advisory roles, or significant industry influence
• Published research in top-tier AI/ML venues or patents in artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Entrepreneurial experience including founding a company or building new practices from inception
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect and Machine Learning Engineer certifications
