Senior Application Developer – Progress 4GL/OpenEdge

Job Title: Senior Application Developer Progress 4GL/Open Edge

Experience: 5-10 Years

Location: Hyderabad / Chennai / Pune

Qualification: BE/BTech

Shift: General

Mandatory skills:Application development using Progress 4GL/OpenEdge 10.x, 11.x, 12.x etc.+ Experience in VPAS application development+ Exp in using Progress 4GL debugger

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong knowledge on Application Design and development.
• Prior experience in technical design documentation, code review and performance optimization techniques using various progress tools like Promon, Profiler, debugger etc.
• Strong knowledge of Progress Database concepts (indexes, triggers, database schema build and maintenance, application performance tuning etc.)
• Exposure to Progress CDC, Pro2, Eclipse/PDSOE, XML parsing etc.
• Experience on team handling and mentoring, taking accountability and ownership of deliverables
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge on ADM, Webservices & App Servers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Strong technical background, willing to learn new tools and technologies
• Experience solely on QAD development/Consulting is not preferred.

Optional skills:

• Knowledge of the US Life Insurance domain will be an added advantage
• Prior Experience in VPAS application development is a definite advantage
• Profiler, Eclipse/PDSOE, Agile, Unit testing using ABLUnit, SonarQube, Continuous Integration, DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins etc.
