Job Description
Job Title: Senior Application Developer Progress 4GL/Open Edge
Experience: 5-10 Years
Location: Hyderabad / Chennai / Pune
Qualification: BE/BTech
Shift: General
Mandatory skills:Application development using Progress 4GL/OpenEdge 10.x, 11.x, 12.x etc.+ Experience in VPAS application development+ Exp in using Progress 4GL debugger
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong knowledge on Application Design and development.
- Prior experience in technical design documentation, code review and performance optimization techniques using various progress tools like Promon, Profiler, debugger etc.
- Strong knowledge of Progress Database concepts (indexes, triggers, database schema build and maintenance, application performance tuning etc.)
- Exposure to Progress CDC, Pro2, Eclipse/PDSOE, XML parsing etc.
- Experience on team handling and mentoring, taking accountability and ownership of deliverables
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge on ADM, Webservices & App Servers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Strong technical background, willing to learn new tools and technologies
- Experience solely on QAD development/Consulting is not preferred.
Optional skills:
- Knowledge of the US Life Insurance domain will be an added advantage
- Prior Experience in VPAS application development is a definite advantage
- Profiler, Eclipse/PDSOE, Agile, Unit testing using ABLUnit, SonarQube, Continuous Integration, DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins etc.
