Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Application Developer with 10+ years of IT experience and deep expertise in enterprise application development and Oracle Applications support. This individual will play a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for designing, enhancing, integrating, and supporting scalable enterprise applications and business systems.

The ideal candidate combines strong architecture and coding skills with proven leadership experience guiding large engineering teams and delivering complex, business-critical solutions.

Candidates must have prior experience leading and managing a minimum team size of 30+ developers/engineers (onshore and offshore), with accountability for technical delivery, quality, and execution.

This role requires translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions while ensuring high-quality outcomes across design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Application Development & Technical Delivery

Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-grade custom applications and integrations

Lead end-to-end technical delivery from solution design through production support

Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions

Participate in hands-on development, troubleshooting, and performance tuning

Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and quality benchmarks

2. Technical Leadership & Team Management

Lead and mentor development teams of 30+ engineers across multiple projects and workstreams

Drive architecture decisions, solution design, and technology selection

Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices

Provide technical direction across Java, Oracle, microservices, and integration platforms

Coach developers on modern frameworks, DevOps practices, and design patterns

Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including business, QA, infrastructure, and vendors

3. Oracle Applications Support & Enhancements

Lead support, customization, and enhancement of Oracle enterprise applications

Develop extensions, integrations, and add-ons for Oracle-based systems

Support upgrades, patches, data migrations, and performance improvements

Troubleshoot production issues and provide long-term solutions

Partner with functional teams to align system capabilities with business processes

4. Custom Application Development Experience

Expected to have designed, developed, or led implementation of:

Web and mobile applications

Microservices-based platforms

Workflow automation solutions

Middleware and API integrations

Cloud-native or cloud-migrated applications

Event-driven or service-oriented architectures

Ability to map business processes to system capabilities, define integration points, and optimize workflows.

7. Architecture & Engineering Practices

Define system architecture, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements

Design scalable, high-availability, and secure solutions

Evaluate frameworks and tools based on performance and maintainability

Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize applications

Ensure reliability, scalability, and security best practices

Qualifications

10+ years of enterprise application development experience

Strong hands-on development background supporting Oracle enterprise applications

Experience leading large development teams (minimum 30+ members)

Proven success delivering complex enterprise solutions

Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
