Senior Apparel Merchandiser - Knitwear

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Merchandiser to manage end-to-end apparel export orders, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked with Kids / Babywear categories and global brands.

This role requires strong coordination skills, technical understanding, and commercial acumen to ensure smooth execution from development to shipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complete order lifecycle from order confirmation to final shipment
• Manage buyer communication, order sheets, costing & follow-ups
• Coordinate fabric, color, and product development activities
• Track and manage TNA / critical path to ensure on-time delivery
• Work closely with factories, fabric mills, and trim vendors
• Lead vendor negotiations on pricing, MOQs, and timelines
• Ensure adherence to buyer quality, safety & compliance standards
• Monitor production status and proactively resolve issues

Skills & Expertise Required

Merchandising & Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes
• Good understanding of fabrics, colors, trims, and prints
• Hands-on experience in order sheet creation & costing
• Exposure to Kids / Babywear safety and quality requirements
• Experience working with international / global brands (preferred)

Planning & Coordination

• Strong TNA planning and execution skills
• Ability to manage multiple styles and tight deadlines

Tools & Systems

• Excellent MS Excel proficiency (order tracking, MIS, costing)
• Working knowledge of MS Word & Outlook
• ERP / PLM exposure is an advantage

Soft Skills

• Strong communication & follow-up skills
• Commercial mindset with problem-solving ability
• Detail-oriented and process driven

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3+ years experience in an Apparel / Garment Export House
• Prior experience in Kids / Babywear merchandising preferred
• Exposure to international buyer handling
• Ability to work independently and drive orders end-to-end
