Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and education on GMIT practices and policies
  • Guide employees/managers on the necessary steps in the end-to-end visa process
  • Partner with immigration counsel in the United States to assess visa eligibility and provide immediate and long-term strategic case recommendations. Prepare cost projections and ensure successful end-to-end case execution through GMIT’s case management software
  • Conduct mock interviews for US work & business visa processes
  • Create reports to identify appropriate next action in the visa process
  • Support US visa extension processes by securing internal approvals and initiating extensions in GMIT’s case management software
  • Manage visa processes for India out bound primarily to United States, United Kingdom, Philippines, Ireland and other non-US countries
  • Assist foreign nationals in procuring India Invite letters
  • Manage centralized inbox and GMIT case management tool, answer and route inquiries as appropriate in a timely manner
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of in-house U.S. immigration specialist/analyst experience supporting U.S. immigration processes 
  • Experience working with non-immigrant work visas including H-1B, L-1 (Blanket and Individuals and employment based green card processes
  • Intermediate MS Office proficiency, including utilizing v-look ups, pivot tables to analyze large amounts of report data
