Helius Wellness is building Indias first AI-powered preventive heart health platform. Our mission is to detect cardiovascular risk early, enable continuous monitoring, and make preventive heart care accessible, affordable, and scalable across India and beyond.

We combine artificial intelligence, longitudinal health data, and patient-centric design to address one of Indias most critical healthcare challenges; premature heart disease. By 2030, Helius aims to help prevent over 1.5 lakh premature deaths and expand into global preventive healthcare markets.

This is not incremental healthcare. This is a platform designed to redefine prevention.

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to play a key role in designing, building, and scaling our AI and machine learning systems for preventive cardiology.

You will work at the intersection of AI research, production-grade systems, and healthcare data , contributing directly to models that assess risk, generate insights, and power real-world clinical workflows. This role requires both strong engineering depth and applied AI expertise , with a mindset for reliability, privacy, and scalability.

You will collaborate closely with founders, clinicians, product teams, and engineers to turn cutting-edge AI into usable, trusted healthcare intelligence.

• Design, build, and deploy AI and machine learning models for cardiovascular risk assessment and preventive care.
• Develop and optimise algorithms for pattern recognition, time-series analysis, and predictive modeling on health data.
• Work with neural networks and deep learning architectures for signal, clinical, and behavioral data.
• Contribute to applied NLP/LLM systems for symptom analysis, reports, and patient inputs where relevant.
• Architect and develop scalable, production-grade AI services integrated into backend platforms.
• Collaborate with product, clinical, backend, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Ensure data privacy, model robustness, explainability, and healthcare-grade reliability.
• Lead experimentation, validation, and back-testing using real-world and synthetic datasets.
• Act as a technical owner; making sound architectural decisions and driving innovation forward.

• 3+ years of professional experience in AI / machine learning engineering.
• Strong foundation in pattern recognition, neural networks, and applied machine learning.
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent.
• Solid computer science fundamentals and software engineering practices.
• Experience building and deploying ML models in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and data processing pipelines.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver high-quality outcomes under timelines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

• Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience in HealthTech, digital healthcare, or regulated domains.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards and privacy frameworks (FHIR, HL7, GDPR, HIPAA).
• Exposure to multimodal data such as ECG, vitals, labs, or wearable data.
• Experience with large-scale datasets, synthetic data, or imbalanced classification problems.
• Understanding of model explainability and clinical AI considerations.
