Role Purpose:

The Senior Accounts Manager will play a critical role in strengthening and transforming the finance function by leading Accounts Payable transformation, consolidating accounting operations across multiple units, driving ERP implementation, and ensuring statutory compliance. The role requires strong process orientation, leadership capability, and cross-functional coordination to support business growth and cost optimization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable Transformation & Centralization

• Lead the transformation and centralization of the Accounts Payable function across all units.
• Design and implement standardized AP processes, controls, and approval workflows.
• Build, mentor, and manage the AP team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Drive digitization and automation initiatives to improve turnaround time and reduce manual intervention.

2. Consolidation of Accounting for Multiple Units

• Oversee consolidation of accounting records for all three units.
• Ensure uniform accounting policies, chart of accounts, and reporting standards across units.
• Coordinate inter-unit transactions and ensure accurate reconciliation and elimination.

3. ERP Implementation & Process Integration

• Act as a key finance lead for ERP implementation and rollout.
• Work closely with ERP consultants, IT, and business teams to define accounting, AP, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure smooth migration of data, testing of modules, and stabilization post go-live.
• Drive adoption of ERP-driven controls and reporting.

4. TDS & Statutory Compliance

• Handle end-to-end TDS compliance including deduction, deposit, returns, reconciliations, and assessments.
• Ensure timely compliance with Income Tax provisions and respond to notices, if any.
• Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors for smooth closure of statutory matters.

5. Financial Closing & Reporting

• Streamline month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Reduce closing timelines while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure timely preparation of MIS, schedules, and audit-ready documentation.
• Support internal and external audits.

6. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Procurement, Operations, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and IT teams.
• Support cost optimization initiatives by strengthening financial controls and visibility.
• Act as a finance business partner to operational teams for process improvement.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, AP processes, and statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience in ERP implementation (SAP / Oracle / Dynamics / similar).
• Excellent process improvement and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead teams and manage change in a growing organization.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualification & Experience:

• Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant / MBA (Finance) preferred.
• 812 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Prior experience in manufacturing / multi-unit / shared services environment preferred.
• Exposure to ERP implementation and transformation projects is a strong advantage.
