Senior Accountant

About the Company:

Veejay Associates is a leading FMCG distribution company handling multiple brands across Kochi, Thrissur, and Bangalore. We manage chilled and frozen products through efficient warehousing and logistics operations.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a General Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, branch financial control, and reporting for our Bangalore operations. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Tally Prime, GST, and Excel with experience in branch-level accounting and coordination with the head office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily accounting entries in Tally Prime.
• Handle sales, purchase, expense, and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare and verify branch P&L, cash, and stock reports.
• Coordinate with the Kochi Head Office for monthly closing and reporting.
• Manage vendor payments, petty cash, and branch expense control.
• Prepare GST input/output summaries and support return filings.
• Verify stock movements and reconcile with warehouse and operations teams.
• Support payroll processing, attendance data, and statutory compliance.
• Communicate with auditors, suppliers, and internal departments for accounting queries.

Requirements:

• Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
• Experience: 25 years in accounting (preferably FMCG / distribution)
• Software Skills: Tally Prime, MS Excel, basic GST & TDS knowledge
• Language: English, Hindi, Tamil-Malayalam added advantage
• Other: Strong accuracy, responsibility, and coordination skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,000.00 - 30,000.00 per month
