Senior Accountant

Position: Accounts Executive

Location: Panaji, Goa

Reports To: Accounts Manager

Job Summary:

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Navtaras growing restaurant chain. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in restaurant accounting, be proficient in POSist and Tally software, and possess a strong understanding of financial management in a multi-location setup.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including daily sales reports, expense tracking, and bank reconciliations.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes ensuring timely payments and collections.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).

Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.

Oversee the accurate processing of POS data and reconciliation of sales with financial records.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with the Accounts Manager.

Manage cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

Monitor food cost, delivery commissions, and packaging expenses specific to the restaurant industry.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings.

Support financial audits and collaborate with external auditors.

Provide financial insights and reports to senior management for informed decision-making.

Collaborate with the operations team to maintain financial accuracy across all outlets.

Assist in implementing new accounting policies and procedures as required.

Work closely with the Accounts Manager to streamline financial processes and ensure timely reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.

Experience working with Tally and POSist software (or similar restaurant POS systems).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in handling multi-location financial operations.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

Experience in handling finances for restaurant chains or similar multi-outlet businesses.

Familiarity with managing restaurant-specific costs like food expenses, delivery commissions, and packaging.
