Security Operations Center Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents using defined SOC processes and playbooks.
• Execute, maintain, and enhance incident response playbooks to ensure timely and effective handling of security events.
• Perform threat intelligence analysis to identify vulnerabilities and emerging threats.
• Coordinate with IT, security teams, and Japanese stakeholders for incident handling and reporting.
• Document security incidents, investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Support security audits, vulnerability assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats, tools, and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

• 45 years of hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or cybersecurity operations role.
• Mandatory experience in creating, executing, and improving SOC incident response playbooks.
• Mandatory proficiency in Japanese language (spoken and written).
• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security tools.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and application security.
• Experience with incident response and basic forensic analysis methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are preferred.
