Security Officer

Position: Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO)

Location : Surat/Hazira

Reports To: Head of Security

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) in line with ISPS Code requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and oversee day-to-day security operations, including access control, surveillance, and patrolling.
• Ensure compliance with national and international maritime security regulations.
• Conduct regular security training and drills for staff and respond promptly to incidents or emergencies.
• Liaise with government agencies, port authorities, and emergency services.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in security management, Maritime Studies, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in port or industrial security, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/security officer role.
• Certified training in ISPS Code, Security Management, and Emergency Response.
• As per the attached Government of India Gazette, qualifications must comply with official PFSO eligibility criteria.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of maritime security regulations and ISPS Code.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in security technology, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Ability to remain calm and effective during high-pressure situations.
• Ex Naval Officer ( 4-5 years Exp )
