Summary: As a Security Engineer, you will apply security skills to design, build and protect enterprise systems, applications, data, assets, and people. You will provide services to safeguard information, infrastructures, applications, and business processes against cyber threats. Your typical day will involve utilizing your expertise in network security operations to ensure the security of the organization's systems and data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks, implement security measures, and respond to security incidents. Additionally, you will stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies to continuously enhance the organization's security posture. The McAfee Web Gateway Engineer is responsible for the implementation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of primarily McAfee Web Gateway (MWG) appliances with good Knowledge of firewall technology. The role ensures that the organizations web traffic is filtered, secured, and compliant with relevant security policies while maintaining performance and availability. The engineer will work with various teams to enforce web security best practices, detect and prevent malware threats, and provide secure web access to users. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks. - Implement security measures to protect the organization's systems and data. - Respond to security incidents and conduct investigations as needed. - Stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies. - Continuously enhance the organization's security posture. - Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations. - Provide guidance and support to junior security professionals. - Deploy, configure, and maintain McAfee Web Gateway appliances. - Monitor and manage web traffic policies, web content filtering, SSL decryption, and threat protection settings. - Perform regular updates and patches to ensure the MWG is up-to-date with the latest security features and malware definitions. - Implement and manage URL filtering, category-based filtering, and user/group-based filtering policies. - Configure and fine-tune SSL decryption policies and rules. - Protect against web-based threats like malware, phishing, and ransomware through URL categorization and malware analysis. - Integrate MWG with other security solutions (SIEM, DLP, Anti-Virus). - Diagnose and resolve issues related to web traffic filtering, performance, and connectivity. - Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to resolve web traffic and access issues. - Investigate and respond to security incidents related to web-based threats. - Ensure efficient web traffic management and minimal performance impacts for users. - Monitor and analyze MWG logs to identify potential performance issues, security gaps, or misconfigurations. - Implement load-balancing and failover configurations where necessary. - Generate reports on web usage, threats detected, and compliance with security policies. - Ensure MWG configurations comply with industry standards and organizational security policies. - Document MWG configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures. - Provide support and guidance to end-users regarding secure web usage and access issues. - Train IT teams on MWG features, policies, and troubleshooting techniques. - Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco ASA, PaloAlto firewalls and Mcafee Web Gateway Proxy to secure the enterprise network. - Implement and manage site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions. - Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security threats using ASA, PaloAlto And mcafee security features like Access Control Lists (ACLs), Network Address Translation (NAT), and Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS). - Maintain and upgrade firewall software and hardware, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Network Security Operations. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with firewall management and intrusion detection systems. - Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices. - Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing. - Knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST. - Familiarity with security incident response and management. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities. - Proven experience in configuring and managing McAfee Web Gateway solutions. - Strong understanding of web security technologies, including URL filtering, malware detection, SSL/TLS inspection, and threat intelligence. - Experience with HTTP/S protocols, proxy configurations, and web traffic analysis. - Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security technologies. - Familiarity with Active Directory/LDAP, DNS, and DHCP for integration with MWG. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, especially in network and web-based traffic Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Network Security Operations. - This position is based at our Gurugram office. - A Bachelor or college degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is required. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - High attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Strong customer service orientation. - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. - Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. - Strong leadership and people management skills.
