Security & Compliance SME Azure Cloud

We are looking for an experienced Security & Compliance SME to support a cloud transformation program focused on secure Azure environments and governance frameworks.

Role Overview

The Security & Compliance SME will be responsible for providing security governance, encryption standards, and compliance alignment across Azure environments. The role also ensures policy enforcement, backup immutability, and audit readiness to meet enterprise security standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide security governance across Azure cloud environments

Define and implement encryption standards for data at rest and in transit

Establish and enforce backup immutability and data protection policies

Ensure compliance alignment (ENS / C5 equivalent frameworks)

Validate policy enforcement and audit control mechanisms

Collaborate with architecture, DevOps, and platform teams to maintain secure cloud operations

Required Skills

Hands-on experience with Azure Key Vault

Strong knowledge of Defender for Cloud

Experience implementing Azure Policy and RBAC governance

Understanding of encryption standards and security best practices

Experience with backup immutability and audit controls

Preferred Certifications

AZ-500 Microsoft Azure Security Engineer

CISSP (optional but preferred)
