Summary: As a Security Architect, you will be responsible for defining the cloud security framework and architecture, ensuring it meets the business requirements and performance goals. Your typical day will involve documenting the implementation of the cloud security controls and transitioning to cloud security-managed operations using Palo Alto Networks Firewalls. Roles & Responsibilities: - Lead the design and implementation of cloud security architecture using Palo Alto Networks Firewalls. - Define and document cloud security controls and policies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of cloud-based applications and infrastructure. - Provide technical guidance and support to the security operations team for the management of cloud security operations. Professional & Technical Skills: Team Leadership: Lead a team of Palo Alto Networks firewall engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical oversight to ensure successful project delivery and operational excellence. Set clear objectives, priorities, and expectations for the team and foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Firewall Architecture: Architect and design Palo Alto Networks firewall solutions based on business requirements, security objectives, and network topology. Develop firewall rule sets, security policies, and segmentation strategies to enforce security controls and mitigate risks effectively. Implementation and Deployment: Oversee the implementation, deployment, and configuration of Palo Alto Networks firewall appliances, including physical and virtual firewalls, across the organization's network infrastructure. Ensure that firewall deployments adhere to industry best practices and vendor recommendations. Policy Management: Define and manage firewall policies, rules, and access controls to govern traffic flow and enforce security policies. Develop and maintain application-based, user-based, and content-based policies to permit or deny network traffic based on risk and compliance requirements. Threat Prevention: Configure and optimize Palo Alto Networks Threat Prevention features, including Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Antivirus, and URL Filtering, to detect and block known and unknown threats effectively. Implement security profiles and threat signatures to enhance threat detection and response capabilities. Network Segmentation: Lead the implementation of network segmentation and micro-segmentation using Palo Alto Networks firewall features such as Virtual Wire, Layer 2/Layer 3 interfaces, and VLAN tagging. Define security zones and segmentation policies to isolate sensitive assets and reduce attack surface. Remote Access VPN: Manage Palo Alto Networks GlobalProtect VPN solutions to provide secure remote access to corporate resources for remote users, mobile devices, and branch offices. Configure VPN tunnels, authentication mechanisms, and encryption policies to protect data in transit. High Availability and Redundancy: Design and implement high availability (HA) and redundancy solutions for Palo Alto Networks firewall deployments to ensure continuous operation and fault tolerance. Configure Active/Passive or Active/Active HA clusters, link aggregation, and failover mechanisms for resilience. Logging and Monitoring: Implement logging and monitoring features on Palo Alto Networks firewalls to capture security events, traffic logs, and system metrics for analysis and reporting. Integrate firewalls with SIEM solutions, log management platforms, and threat intelligence feeds for enhanced visibility. Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational security policies by configuring firewall controls and reporting mechanisms accordingly. Generate compliance reports, audit logs, and security assessments for internal and external stakeholders. Experience in Palo alotoFirewall,VPN,Proxy Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Palo Alto Networks Firewalls. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP. - This position is based at our Gurugram office.
