Role Overview :

We are looking for a detail-oriented On-Page SEO Specialist who can optimise website content and structure to improve organic search rankings, traffic, and conversion rates. The ideal candidate understands search intent, SEO best practices, and works closely with content, design, and development teams.

This role involves a mix of ongoing SEO retainer work as well as one-time high-impact projects, including redesigns and platform migrations.

Key Responsibilities

On-Page Optimization

• Perform on-page SEO audits and implement improvements
• Optimize meta titles, meta descriptions, H1H6 tags
• Improve URL structures, internal linking, and anchor text
• Optimize images (alt tags, compression, lazy loading)
• Ensure proper use of schema markup (FAQ, Product, Article, Breadcrumbs)
• Maintain on-page SEO health across website pages

Content Optimization

• Optimize existing content for target keywords & search intent
• Collaborate with content writers for SEO-friendly content
• Improve content readability, keyword placement & semantic SEO
• Identify and fix keyword cannibalization
• Align content strategies with business and category-level goals

Technical Coordination (On-Page)

Work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to ensure strong technical SEO implementation across ongoing work and high-impact projects:

• Improve page speed and Core Web Vitals across templates and key pages
• Ensure mobile-first optimization and SEO-friendly HTML structure
• Manage indexing, canonicalization, crawlability, and structured data implementation
• Support and validate SEO requirements during Shopify redesigns (theme changes, staging validation, pre/post-launch checks)
• Plan and execute SEO-critical elements during platform migrations (URL mapping, 301 redirects, preserving rankings and traffic)
• Conduct regular technical audits and proactively identify and fix SEO issues as part of ongoing retainer work
• Monitor post-release performance and quickly troubleshoot drops in rankings, traffic, or indexation

Tools & Analysis

• Use tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics (GA4), Ahrefs, SEMrush
• Track rankings, CTR, impressions, and page-level performance
• Monitor competitor on-page strategies
• Generate reports and insights for stakeholders

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of on-page SEO best practices
• Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (especially Shopify)
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS basics
• Experience with keyword research & content optimization
• Understanding of Core Web Vitals
• Experience handling SEO during redesigns or migrations
• Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills

Good to Have

• Deep experience with Shopify SEO (collections, products, filters, apps)
• Knowledge of international SEO (hreflang)
• Experience optimizing large-scale eCommerce websites
• Familiarity with subscription platforms (e.g., Recharge)
• Experience with AI-assisted SEO tools
