About the Role

Zime AI is building an AI-native behaviour and revenue intelligence platform. Our systems power real-time AI sales playbooks and conversation analysis used by revenue teams at scale. We're looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. You'll build responsive, intuitive frontends with Next.js and robust backend services with Pythoncreating the interface layer that brings AI capabilities to life for sales teams.

This is a builder role with high ownership across the full stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own full-stack features from frontend to backend
• Develop modern, responsive web applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
• Build scalable backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI/Django/Flask)
• Integrate frontend applications with AI/ML services, LLM APIs, and internal systems
• Own database design and query optimization (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for frontend and backend deployments
• Collaborate with AI engineers to design seamless user experiences for AI-powered features
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical design discussions

What You Will Do Day-to-Day

• Write production-quality code in Next.js/React and Python
• Debug and resolve frontend and backend issues in production
• Design and implement new product features end-to-end
• Optimize application performance (load times, bundle sizes, API latency)
• Review pull requests and collaborate with the engineering team
• Work with product and design to translate requirements into technical implementations
• Deploy features to production and monitor their performance
• Participate in daily standups and sprint planning

Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

• 5-6 years of experience in full-stack or frontend-focused development
• Strong proficiency in Next.js and React with deep understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Solid hands-on experience with Python backend development (FastAPI, Django, or Flask)
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Working knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and query optimization
• Proficiency with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD workflows
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and modern CSS (Tailwind, etc.)
• Familiarity with state management solutions (Redux, Zustand, Context API)

Good to Have

• Experience building AI-powered user interfaces or integrating LLM APIs
• Knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and Next.js App Router
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Pytest, Playwright, Cypress)
• Understanding of web performance optimization and monitoring
• Experience with real-time features (WebSockets, Server-Sent Events)
• Prior work in B2B SaaS, sales tech, or CRM products
• Startup experience with ownership of end-to-end feature delivery
• Public GitHub projects or technical contributions
