Location: Chennai, India (5 days a week from office)

Role Description

A Scrum Master plays a role in leading scrum teams, coach team members, follow agile processes, practice agile methodology and promote agile development framework.

You will perform Agile rituals, facilitate scrum events, work with product owner/partner, coordinate with management and follow release management guidelines.

Your work will include coaching team members, proactively eliminating barriers, and facilitating team delivery on sprint goals. You will work closely with your team and Product Owners as well as Business Sponsors and peer Scrum Masters across Card Services to support Sprint and Release Planning, foster team self-awareness, encourage cross-training, decision-making and continuous improvement.

Job Specific needs & Responsibilities: 

•         Provide Agile leadership to distributed Product development teams.

•         Use data to assess progress, areas needing improvement, increase predictability.

•         Facilitate and manage communications to stakeholders, the broader project team, and program leaders.

•         Make sure scan compliance is adhered by the team as per Enterprise standards. 

•         Create change request and work with Cyber, Release management, CAB, Appsec, Appops teams to get the change approved on time to meet delivery commitments

•         Maintenance of artifacts such as Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Burndown Charts, etc.

•         Close cooperation and coordination with Product Owners, agile teams, and other Scrum Masters

•         Provide important artifacts in the form of meeting notes, documentation, follow-up items, etc.

•         Prepare Sprint Status and Capacity Estimations reporting for the Development Team(s)

Need to have: 

•         Minimum: 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master

•         Proficient in Jira/Confluence

•         Must have successful experience in delivering to external clients.

•         Ability to work independently and with minimal direction.

•         Good methodological knowledge regarding moderation, mediation, change management and team development as well as the ability of decision-making and fact-finding.

•         Highly adaptable to a constantly changing environment.

Great to have:

•         Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

•         Other role experience – Developer, QA, PM, BA

•         Experience in Financial industry.

•         Building systems and making updates with system performance, stability, and reliability in mind
