Screenwriter (Feature Film) – Epic Fantasy / Action-Adventure

We are seeking an experienced screenwriter to take an existing first-pass screenplay and develop it into a production-ready, full-length feature script , strengthening structure, pacing, and character arcs, and writing high-impact dialogue with distinct character voice.

The project is an original epic fantasy with large-scale cinematic set pieces and a strong emotional core. While the story is original, it is rooted in South Indian mythic tradition and requires sensitivity to cultural authenticity. Further details will be shared under NDA.

• Expand and elevate an existing first-pass draft into a complete, professional feature screenplay.
• Write and refine dialogue (subtext, conflict, character voice, rhythm) and improve scene craft.
• Strengthen structure, pacing, act breaks, and narrative clarity across the full script.
• Deepen character arcs and relationships while protecting the established core vision.
• Deliver iterative drafts based on structured feedback (notes revisions polish).
• Maintain production readability for a VFX/animation-forward execution (clear action, coherent set pieces).

• Strong screenplay craft: feature structure, pacing, and dialogue.
• Ability to work from an existing draft (elevate and polish, not start from scratch).
• Proficiency with industry-standard format/tools (Final Draft / Celtx / WriterDuet or equivalent).
• Collaborative, deadline-reliable, and responsive to notes.

• Previous feature film screenwriting experience is a massive plus.
• Prior work in epic fantasy, action-adventure, or large-scale spectacle storytelling.
• Familiarity with mythology-driven narratives and mythic structure/archetypes.
• Comfort with Tamil cultural context; ability to write authentic Tamil dialogue is a strong plus (dialogue may ultimately be adapted into Tamil).
• Experience developing scripts intended for VFX-heavy / animation-heavy production.
• Chennai-based collaboration preferred (hybrid/on-site), with remote options for the right candidate.
