Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scientist with expertise in Organoids, to join our dynamic R&D team. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and optimization of organoid models for disease modeling and drug screening. You will be working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment to drive innovative research and support the development of new technologies.


Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka


Duration: Fulltime

  1. Organoid Culturing & Optimization: Develop, culture, and maintain 3D organoid models from various tissues (e.g., intestinal, liver, brain) for disease modeling and drug screening.
  2. Flow Cytometry: Perform and analyze flow cytometry assays for cell phenotype identification, and sorting.
  3. Cell Culture: Cultivate primary cells and immortalized cell lines, maintaining a sterile and controlled environment for both 2D and 3D cell culture experiments.
  4. Experimental Design & Data Analysis: Design and conduct experiments related to organoid biology, cell signaling, oxidative stress, and other cellular mechanisms. Interpret and analyze data using advanced statistical and bioinformatics tools.
  5. Collaborative Research: Work closely with other research teams, including microbiologists, to integrate organoid models into broader experimental frameworks.
  6. Protocol Development: Develop and refine experimental protocols for organoid differentiation, expansion, and drug response screening, ensuring reproducibility and scalability.
  7. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all experimental procedures, results, and analyses. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Innovation & Troubleshooting: Continuously seek improvements in current methodologies and troubleshoot technical issues related to organoid models, flow cytometry, and cell culture techniques.


Qualifications

  1. Ph.D. or M.Sc./M.Tech in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field, with a focus on organoid technology and cell culture techniques.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with organoids, flow cytometry, and advanced cell culture techniques.


Technical Expertise:

  1. Proficiency in organoid generation and culture, including the establishment and maintenance of 3D organoid systems.
  2. Extensive experience with flow cytometry analysis, including panel design, data analysis, and sorting.
  3. Advanced skills in cell culture techniques, both 2D and 3D, and familiarity with culturing primary cells, and stem cells.
  4. Data Analysis: Strong proficiency in analyzing flow cytometry data and other experimental data sets using software such as FCS Express, FlowJo, or similar tools.
  5. Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot experimental challenges and adapt protocols as needed.
  6. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and collaborate across teams.
  7. Desirable: Experience with high-throughput screening, drug discovery, and tissue-specific organoid models is a plus.
