Unived is an Indian supplement brand founded in 2010. We formulate and manufacture every product (except one) in-house, publish a Certificate of Analysis for every batch before it ships, and declare every ingredient by form and dose. No proprietary blends. 100% vegan. No external investors.
We are not a large company. We are a precise one. The standard we hold in formulation is the same standard we hold in everything we publish.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is not a marketing role that requires some science knowledge. It is a science communication role that operates inside a commercial context.
Unived has fifteen years of original formulation development. The challenge is making that knowledge legible to athletes who want to understand what they are taking and why, to practitioners who will only recommend what they can verify, and to consumers who are tired of an industry built on claims without evidence.
The Science & Content Lead is the person who holds that standard across everything Unived publishes. Every article, product page content, and communication, will be passed through this role.
The primary function is editorial prowess and scientific judgment, and ensuring scientific accuracy.
The right person for this role will find the scientific rigour the most interesting part of the job not the most inconvenient constraint.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Scientific accuracy the primary responsibility
Before any content goes live, it has passed a scientific accuracy check. That check is yours.
- Maintain the website science section: ingredient philosophy, supplement buyer's guide, evidence architecture, formulation rationale, ingredient knowledge pages with mechanism of action, form rationale, dose justification, and cited references.
- Review all content drafts for scientific accuracy and claim integrity.
- Maintain hygine across all published content. Reasses, update where warranted.
Direct the content operation across both product lines
- Prepare and manage the monthly content calendar across email, WhatsApp, social media, long-form content, and our publishing platform.
- Brief and coordinate the wider marketing team on content requirements and timing.
- Own the SEO content strategy: keyword research, content planning, article production, on-page optimisation.
- Write and maintain all communication across channels.
Build & maintain the knowledge base
- Protocols across sports & wellness
- Field reports on protocol documentation & outcome data
- Condition specific guides across health needs
WHO YOU ARE
- Your background came from the science side.
- You have a foundation in nutrition science, dietetics, food science, sports science, biochemistry, pharmacy, or allied health and have since moved into communications, content, or writing. The science came first. Communication is the developed skill.
- You have genuine working knowledge of dietary supplement ingredients, bioavailability, ingredient forms, and clinical evidence standards. You understand why form matters, what a dose-response relationship means, and what a randomised controlled trial can and cannot prove.
- You can read a PubMed publication and know what it actually demonstrates and what it does not. The distinction between a mechanistic study and a clinical outcome trial determines what Unived can say and what it cannot.
- Your communication is precise.
- Exceptional written English clear, specific, and capable of registering differently across audiences without losing accuracy.
- Strong editorial instinct. When you read a draft, you immediately identify what is scientifically off, what overstates the evidence, and what sounds like every other supplement brand.
- You are operationally disciplined.
- Experienced with technology you use it as a production instrument and know how to evaluate when output is inaccurate despite sounding confident. Working knowledge of SEO.
- Organised and self-directed.
Your experience.
5+ years of professional work. Science background plus communication or content work plus enough commercial exposure to understand how content drives decisions. Prior interaction with nutritionists, registered dietitians, or allied health professionals. D2C brand exposure is an advantage. Experience in the supplement or wellness industry is a meaningful plus.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
- A role where you will learn the science on the job. Subject matter depth is the entry requirement.
- A high-volume content creation position. Production is supported by technology. Judgment and accuracy are the scarce resource this role provides.
- A generalist marketing role. Strong digital marketing skills without clinical nutrition knowledge is not the right combination.
- A role for someone who finds scientific nuance inconvenient. The nuance is the point.
