Job Title: Scheduling Administrator

Job Description Summary
The Scheduling Administrator is responsible for the setup, maintenance and support of application, database and reboot jobs via Control-M software. They are also responsible for record of reference for all newly staged servers. The employee will work closely with infrastructure support teams, application and database administrators for administrative and troubleshooting assistance. The employee will provide assistance to the Infrastructure & Technology Service Management (ITSM) team for Control-m software break-fix and upgrade activity. Being process focused and detail oriented are key success factors for this role.
Job Description
Job Duties:
Work with the application and database teams to structure, schedule and implement batch job, backup and scheduling requirements and specifications as per business standards.
Develop and maintain specialized run calendars per application’s established maintenance and restriction schedules.
Provide break-fix/escalation and scheduled maintenance support during non-business hours.
Provide troubleshooting assistance to Backup team on failures and conflicting backup schedules.
Work with application teams to establish record of reference for newly staged servers via Production Acceptance Agreement (PAA) process.
Maintain PAA process: Educate user base, review submissions for discrepancies/correction, audit and modify process and documentation as needed.
Provides data to support evidence required for compliance audits.
Proficiency in Control-m scheduling software, ServiceNow and Microsoft Office applications.
Other duties as assigned.
Control-m and ServiceNow experience with Veritas Netbackup backup
PagerDuty call,24/7,Candidate will get shift+on-call allowance
Development:
Maintains batch job, backup and reboot schedules via Control-M.
Provides Proof of Concept (POC) testing and evaluation of Control-m and ServiceNow process updates and modifications.
Reviews and updates business requirements for PAA process.
Audits server inventory to establish missing PAA’s or candidates for retirement.
Updates CMDB server records.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in MIS, Business, a related field, or equivalent.
A minimum 5 years of progressively more responsible experience and broad knowledge in Control-m and ServiceNow administration.
Experience with Veritas Netbackup backup terminology and requirements.
Must be able to work cooperatively and productively with others, as well as multitask.
