About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SAS Developer to join the Control Feature Team. In this role, you will develop highquality data controls, calculators, and reporting solutions that support regulatory requirements, reduce risk, and empower business stakeholders with accurate, timely data.

You will collaborate across various teams, work with complex datasets, and take ownership of the full development lifecyclefrom analysis to production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Data, Controls & Reporting

• Develop SASbased solutions for extracting, transforming, analysing, and reporting complex datasets.
• Build a strong understanding of banking source systems to ensure accurate controls and highquality reporting outputs.
• Deliver accurate, businesscritical data to support regulatory, audit, incident, and mandatory reporting needs.
• Create sustainable and highintegrity data products to enable confident business decisions.

Analysis & ProblemSolving

• Perform detailed data analysis to support remediation activities and regulatory expectations.
• Trace data to source, validate data quality, and work with large, complex datasets confidently.
• Review and optimise existing SAS code to improve efficiency, accuracy, and maintainability.

Stakeholder & Collaboration

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and refine feature requirements.
• Work closely with crossfunctional teams to identify suitable data sources and integrate them into reporting and controls.
• Communicate technical information clearly to nontechnical audiences.

Delivery & Governance

• Take ownership of features across the full delivery lifecyclefrom impact assessment to golive.
• Ensure all data solutions meet governance, compliance, and control standards.
• Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues across data processes and services.
• Bring an Agile mindset: collaborative, transparent, and adaptable.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong, handson experience in SAS for data extraction, transformation, analysis, and reporting.
• Excellent data analysis and data interrogation skills, with ability to work on large and complex datasets.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Proven experience in translating business requirements into meaningful reporting and data solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Selfstarter with ability to independently locate, validate, and interpret data in environments with limited documentation.

Good to Have (Preferred Skills)

• Experience developing or maintaining RShiny applications.
• Strong SQL skills for advanced data transformation and query development.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, change management, and full development lifecycle.
• Exposure to stakeholder or project management.
