Role Overview

The Senior SAP SD Consultant will lead the design, implementation, and support of Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes in a Retail and Manufacturing environment using SAP S/4HANA / SAP HANA platforms. The role requires deep expertise in SAP SD, strong experience in SAP IS-Retail, and integration with manufacturing modules like SAP PP and SAP MM.

The consultant will collaborate with business stakeholders, lead solution design, and ensure efficient sales processes across retail distribution, manufacturing plants, and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design & Architecture

• Lead end-to-end design of Order-to-Cash processes in SAP.
• Define scalable solutions for retail and manufacturing sales operations.
• Provide solution architecture for SAP SD integrated with retail and manufacturing systems.

2. SAP SD Configuration & Implementation

• Configure and manage core SD processes including:
• Sales order management
• Pricing and discount structures
• Delivery and shipment processing
• Billing and invoicing
• Credit management
• Design complex pricing procedures, rebate processes, and promotions for retail.

3. IS-Retail Process Expertise

Work with retail-specific functionalities in SAP IS-Retail:

• Article master and merchandise hierarchy
• Assortment and listing processes
• Promotions and retail pricing
• Store sales and distribution center processes
• Integration with POS systems

4. Manufacturing Integration

Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support integration with:

• SAP PP for production planning
• SAP MM for procurement and inventory
• Support manufacturing scenarios such as:
• Make-to-Order (MTO)
• Make-to-Stock (MTS)
• Available-to-Promise (ATP)
• Delivery scheduling

Ensure seamless order fulfillment from manufacturing plants to retail distribution centers.

5. SAP HANA / S4HANA Projects

• Participate in S/4HANA implementation or migration projects.
• Support data migration and system conversion.
• Optimize sales processes using HANA capabilities and performance improvements.

6. Integration Management

Ensure integration with multiple SAP modules:

• SAP FI Billing and revenue recognition
• SAP MM Inventory and procurement
• SAP PP Production planning
• SAP EWM Warehouse management
• SAP CAR Customer Activity Repository for retail analytics

7. Stakeholder & Team Leadership

• Work with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and solution design workshops.
• Mentor junior consultants and functional teams.
• Coordinate with technical teams for developments (ABAP, interfaces, enhancements).

8. Testing & Deployment

• Prepare functional specifications for developments.
• Lead unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
• Support cutover activities and go-live deployment.
• Provide post go-live hypercare support.

• Experience with global retail supply chain processes

Experience working in large enterprise environments.
