Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA Finance Design Lead with deep expertise in Record to Report (R2R), Asset Accounting, Intercompany, Order to Cash (O2C), and Banking & Treasury (BT) for a large global Oil & Gas enterprise transformation.

This role requires a seasoned leader capable of driving global design, fit-to-standard processes, and complex financial architectures, while collaborating with offshore teams and global stakeholders to ensure compliance with standardized enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP S/4HANA Finance R2R & Core Finance

• Lead global R2R design using SAP S/4HANA fit-to-standard best practices
• Conduct discovery workshops and validate designs using 4E framework
• Design and validate:
• Parallel ledgers
• Document splitting
• Chart of Accounts
• Organizational structures
• Financial reporting elements
• Integrate R2R with O2C, P2P, Inventory Valuation, and other finance streams
• Document and trace designs using SAP Best Practices (BP) Process Modeling tools

2. Asset Accounting & Project Capitalization

• Own end-to-end Asset Accounting design and implementation
• Design capitalization from SAP Project System (WBS) through asset lifecycle
• Configure and support:
• Chart of Depreciation
• Asset classes
• Ledger assignments (IFRS, Local GAAP, Tax, Lease Accounting)
• Accounting posting rules for post-capitalization events
• Collaborate with global design teams to ensure standardized asset models across regions

3. Order to Cash (O2C)

• Lead design of O2C processes integrated with Finance
• Expertise in:
• Business Partner (BP) model
• Advanced Credit Management (FSCM)
• SDFI integration
• Revenue Accounting & Reporting (RAR)
• Ensure compliance with global revenue recognition standards

4. Banking & Treasury (BT)

• Design and support Banking & Treasury processes including:
• Bank Account Management (BAM)
• Bank Communication Management (BCM)
• Payment processing
• Electronic Bank Statements (EBS)
• Cash positioning and forecasting
• Ensure secure, compliant, and globally standardized treasury operations

5. Intercompany Architecture (Oil & Gas Focus)

• Architect a global SAP S/4HANA Intercompany framework
• Design end-to-end intercompany value chains:
• Cross-company logistics
• Direct FI postings
• Financial settlement
• Implement and support:
• Intercompany Matching & Reconciliation (ICMR)
• Eliminations during close
• In-House Cash (IHC)
• Multilateral Payment Netting
• Transfer Pricing models with multi-valuation postings
• Handle Oil & Gas-specific complexities including Joint Venture Accounting (JVA)

6. Hands-On Configuration & Close Support

• Configure and manage:
• ICMR matching and reconciliation rules
• IHC payment runs and netting cycles
• Transfer Pricing condition records
• Support business users during month-end and year-end close
• Troubleshoot settlement, reconciliation, and posting issues

7. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor offshore and global teams
• Collaborate with Global Design Leads to ensure adherence to enterprise standards
• Drive blueprint sign-off, UAT sign-off, and project sign-off
• Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA Finance (R2R, Asset Accounting, O2C, Treasury)
• Strong Oil & Gas domain knowledge (Upstream preferred)
• Intercompany solutions: ICMR, IHC, Payment Netting, Transfer Pricing
• SAP Best Practices & Fit-to-Standard methodology
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proven experience in large global SAP transformation programs
