Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced S/4 HANA PPQM Consultant to join our team. The consultant will be responsible for providing expertise in SAP S/4 HANA for Production Planning & Quality Management (PPQM), Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling (PPDS), and Application Management Services (AMS). The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background in SAP, along with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and best practices related to production planning, scheduling, and quality management.

This role involves implementing, configuring, supporting, and optimizing S/4 HANA modules related to PPQM and PPDS, while also providing ongoing support for application management services (AMS) post-go-live.

Key Responsibilities

S/4 HANA PPQM & PPDS Implementation and Configuration

• Lead the implementation and configuration of PPQM and PPDS modules in SAP S/4 HANA.
• Conduct workshops with business users to gather functional requirements and provide solutions in PPQM, PPDS, and related areas.
• Configure and customize the PPQM module for quality inspections, quality control processes, and integration with production planning.
• Configure and customize PPDS for advanced planning and detailed scheduling, including capacity planning, scheduling, and material resource planning.
• Integrate PPQM and PPDS with other SAP modules (MM, SD, WM, etc.) to ensure smooth cross-functional processes.
• Perform gap analysis to identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions based on SAP best practices.

Application Management Services (AMS) Support

• Provide post-implementation support in the form of AMS services for PPQM and PPDS processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to PPQM, PPDS, and other integrated modules, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization in existing SAP environments.
• Provide ongoing maintenance and support, including enhancements and minor upgrades to PPQM, PPDS, and other relevant modules.
• Collaborate with the business and technical teams to prioritize and resolve incidents, change requests, and service requests in a timely manner.

Project & Change Management

• Work with the project team to define project scope, timelines, and resource planning for SAP PPQM and PPDS implementations.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure that all configurations and customizations meet business requirements.
• Guide clients through the transition phase to ensure a smooth go-live and ensure the system is optimized post-deployment.
• Document business processes, system configurations, and enhancements to provide reference material for ongoing operations and maintenance.

Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Prepare and deliver end-user training sessions on SAP PPQM and PPDS functionality to ensure users are able to work efficiently with the system.
• Provide knowledge transfer to internal IT teams and business users for continued support and improvement of SAP processes.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in S/4 HANA PPQM (Production Planning and Quality Management) and PPDS (Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) modules.
• Strong understanding of integration points between PPQM, PPDS, and other SAP modules like MM, SD, QM, and WM.
• Experience with Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) systems and understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and scheduling.
• Knowledge of Application Management Services (AMS) for ongoing SAP system maintenance and support.
• Experience with SAP Fiori and modern user interfaces in the context of SAP S/4 HANA.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and project implementation lifecycle.
• Proficiency in data migration (legacy to S/4 HANA), including knowledge of tools such as SAP Data Services or LTMC.

Functional Skills

• Strong experience in Production Planning, Manufacturing Processes, and Quality Management in a SAP S/4 HANA environment.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Familiarity with the integration of production planning, scheduling, and quality control processes to enhance overall production efficiency.
• Knowledge of business process optimization and best practices in SAP for manufacturing and supply chain management.

Certifications (Optional but Preferred)

• SAP S/4 HANA PP, PPDS, or QM certifications.
• Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) are a plus.
• Lean or Six Sigma certifications (for process optimization roles).

Experience

• 8-10 years of experience working with SAP PP, PPDS, and QM modules.
• Experience in implementing, supporting, and optimizing SAP PPQM, PPDS, and AMS services within an enterprise environment.
• Proven experience in managing post-go-live support, including AMS and system optimization tasks.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or supply chain industries is highly preferred.
