Job Description

Job Title: SAP PLM Consultant Recipe Management (FMCG)


Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP PLM Consultant with strong Recipe Management experience to support and deliver FMCG / Food & Beverage projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SAP PLM, Recipe Development, Specification Management, and integration with core SAP modules to support product lifecycle processes from ideation to commercialization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support SAP PLM implementations and enhancements with a focus on Recipe Management in FMCG environments.
  • Manage end-to-end recipe development, formulation, versioning, and change management.
  • Configure and support Specification Management (raw materials, semi-finished, finished goods).
  • Work closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Production teams to translate business requirements into SAP PLM solutions.
  • Support product lifecycle processes including innovation, reformulation, commercialization, and phase-out.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, labeling, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate testing (unit, integration, UAT), defect resolution, and production support.
  • Prepare functional specifications, configuration documents, and user training materials.
  • Support data migration and master data governance related to recipes and specifications.

Required Functional Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP PLM Recipe Management.
  • Expertise in:
  • Recipe Development & Formula Management
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) for recipes
  • Specification Management
  • Change Management (ECM)
  • Product Lifecycle processes
  • Experience working in FMCG / Food & Beverage industry is mandatory.

SAP Integration Knowledge

  • Integration with SAP PP, QM, MM, SD.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, batch management, and quality inspections.
  • Knowledge of labeling, allergens, nutritional values, and compliance processes (good to have).

Technical & Tools (Good to Have)

  • SAP S/4HANA PLM experience
  • SAP EHS or Regulatory Compliance exposure
  • Experience with data migration tools and LSMW / Migration Cockpit

Experience & Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of overall SAP experience.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in SAP PLM with Recipe Management.
  • At least one end-to-end implementation in FMCG / Food industry.
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, Food Technology, or related field.

Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional global teams.
  • Client-facing experience and problem-solving mindset.
