Job Description -SAP MM Lead

Experience: 9+ Years (Mandatory)

Location: Hyderabad (Hybrid-Night Shift(Half a day))

Notice Period: Immediate Joiner

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of SAP MM solutions aligned with business processes and organizational objectives.

Configure, customize, and optimize SAP MM modules, including:

• Inventory Management
• Procurement
• Purchasing
• Material Master

Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, perform gap analysis, and translate needs into detailed functional specifications.

Architect and deliver complex SAP MM solutions with seamless integration across SAP modules such as SD, PP, WM, and FICO, as well as external systems.

Drive system configuration, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality and efficient solution delivery.

Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, including unit testing, integration testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior consultants and team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Serve as the SAP MM Subject Matter Expert (SME), advising stakeholders on best practices, process optimization, and business process re-engineering.

Lead SAP MM upgrade, migration, and enhancement initiatives while ensuring adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.

Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including configuration documents, functional specifications, and integration design artifacts.

Troubleshoot complex SAP MM issues and provide post-go-live support, recommending continuous improvements based on evolving business requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, including SAP Basis, Security, and ABAP, to ensure stable and high-performing implementations.

Stay updated with the latest SAP innovations, including SAP S/4HANA and cloud solutions, and recommend enhancements to the SAP MM landscape.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 9+ years of hands-on experience in SAP MM, with at least 4-5 years in an lead role.
• Expertise in SAP MM module configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules (SD, PP, WM, FICO, etc.).
• Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing business processes related to procurement, inventory management, and materials management.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM integration with third-party applications, interfaces, and external systems.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale SAP implementations, ensuring the project is completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
• In-depth understanding of business process reengineering (BPR) and process mapping in SAP MM.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior business and IT stakeholders.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a track record of managing teams and delivering results in high-pressure environments.
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and experience with S/4HANA migration or implementations is a strong plus.
• SAP MM certification (or equivalent) is highly desirable.
