Job Title: SAP MM Consultant / SAP MM Functional Consultant

Role Summary

The SAP MM Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Materials Management processes within an organization. The role focuses on procurement, inventory management, vendor management, material planning, and integration with other SAP modules like FI, SD, PP, and WM.

The consultant works with business teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, perform system configuration, conduct testing, and ensure smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP MM Configuration & Implementation

• Perform end-to-end configuration of SAP MM submodules:
• Procurement (P2P)
• Inventory Management
• Material Master
• Vendor Master
• Purchasing
• Invoice Verification
• Service Procurement
• Customize SAP MM settings based on business requirements.

2. Business Requirements & Process Design

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Document functional specifications and design documentations.
• Provide best practice recommendations in MM processes.

3. Support & Troubleshooting

• Handle incidents, service requests, and change requests.
• Identify root causes and provide long-term solutions.
• Support users in day-to-day operations.

4. Integration with Other SAP Modules

• Collaborate with SAP FI, SD, PP, and WM teams for cross-functional requirements.
• Ensure smooth integration between MM and other modules.

5. Testing & Training

• Conduct Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and UAT.
• Prepare training manuals and deliver end-user training.

6. Project Execution

• Participate in SAP implementation, upgrade, and rollout projects.
• Support cutover activities and go-live.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP MM configuration and P2P cycle.
• Understanding of valuation, pricing procedures, release strategies.
• Hands-on experience with LSMW, BAPIs, IDOCs, SAP Queries.
• Understanding of integration with FI, SD, PP, QM, WM modules.
