Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP MDG Architect with 12+ years of IT experience, including strong expertise in Master Data Governance , Data Quality , and Data Consolidation . The ideal candidate will lead MDG solution architecture, design master data models, manage governance workflows, and ensure high-quality master data across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

SAP MDG Solution Architecture

• Design and implement end-to-end SAP MDG solutions for multiple domains (BP, Customer, Supplier, Material, Finance).
• Define and customize data models, UI configurations, validations, and derivations .
• Lead MDG-F, MDG-M, MDG-S, MDG-C, MDG-BP implementations.

Data Governance & Quality

• Establish master data governance processes , data validation rules (BRF+), and quality frameworks.
• Lead data consolidation , matching, merging, duplicate checks, and harmonization.
• Ensure compliance with organizational data standards .

Workflow & Process Design

• Configure workflow-based Change Requests (CR) , rule-based workflows, and approval hierarchies.
• Collaborate with business teams for requirement gathering and functional design.

Integration & Migration

• Integrate MDG with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, PI/PO, CPI, MDG-Mass Processing, Data Services .
• Support data migration activities: mapping, cleansing, validation, and load.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Work with business leaders, data stewards, and technical teams for governance rollouts.
• Conduct workshops, user training, and documentation.

Project Leadership

• Lead MDG projects from discovery to go-live.
• Provide technical governance, issue resolution, and performance optimization.

Required Skills & Expertise

• 8+ years hands-on SAP MDG experience (MDG-F/MDG-M/MDG-BP/MDG-S/MDG-C).
• Strong expertise with:
• Data Model Enhancements
• BRF+ Rules & Derivations
• UI Modeling / Floorplan Manager (FPM)
• Rule-Based Workflow (BRF+ / NWBC / Fiori)
• Duplicate Check & Data Quality Management
• Experience in MDG Consolidation and Mass Processing .
• Deep knowledge of Business Partner (BP) governance in S/4HANA.
• Strong experience in SAP integration technologies (IDoc, BAPIs, PI/PO, Web Services, CPI).
• Ability to design end-to-end governance processes .
• Understanding of master data standards and data governance frameworks .
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in SAP Data Intelligence / SAP DS / IS .
• Knowledge of S/4HANA conversion, greenfield or brownfield programs.
• Experience in multi-domain MDM strategy.
• Exposure to Agile project methodologies.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• SAP MDG certification is a plus.
