SAP IBP Consultant

Job Location: Bangalore/ Pune/ Gurgaon/ Kolkata

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SAP IBP Consultant with strong expertise in Supply Planning and

Optimizer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing

advanced supply chain planning solutions using SAP IBP, with a focus on optimization, constraint-

based planning, and end-to-end supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead implementation and support of SAP IBP Supply Planning and Optimizer

Design and configure constraint-based planning models

Develop and optimize cost models, supply heuristics, and optimizer profiles

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and translate supply chain requirements

Perform what-if scenario analysis and recommend optimal planning strategies

Integrate SAP IBP with SAP S/4HANA / ECC and other systems

Work on master data configuration (products, locations, resources, BOMs)

Monitor and improve planning performance and accuracy

Provide functional guidance to junior team members

Participate in UAT, deployment, and post-go-live support

Required Skills & Experience

9+ years of overall SAP experience with strong focus on SAP IBP

Hands-on experience in:

o IBP Supply Planning

o IBP Optimizer (mandatory)

Strong understanding of:

o Supply chain planning concepts (demand, supply, inventory)

o Constraint-based planning

o Heuristics vs Optimizer

Experience in:

o Optimizer configuration (costs, constraints, prioritization)

o Planning areas, key figures, attributes

Knowledge of:

o Integration with SAP S/4HANA / ECC

o CPI-DS / SDI (preferred)

Exposure to:

o Excel-based planning (IBP Excel Add-in)

Good understanding of data models and supply chain KPIs

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in end-to-end IBP implementations

Exposure to Response & Supply / Inventory Optimization

SAP IBP Certification is a plus

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
