SAP HANA XSA Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA XSA (Extended Application Services Advanced) Consultant with over 10 years of overall SAP and database development experience. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in HANA native development, XSA architecture, application deployment, and integration within the SAP ecosystem.

This is Contract To Hire Position.

Key Responsibilities

HANA XSA Development & Architecture

• Design, develop, and deploy applications using SAP HANA XSA framework.
• Build HDI containers, modules, and microservices in XSA architecture.
• Develop Node.js, Java, and XSJS services for HANA-based applications.
• Implement Fiori/UI5 applications integrated with HANA services.

Data Modeling & Database Development

• Create and optimize HANA Calculation Views, CDS views, and SQLScript procedures.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and memory management.
• Implement data provisioning, replication, and transformation using SLT, SDA, SDI, or ETL tools.

Integration & Security

• Integrate HANA XSA applications with S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SAC, and third-party systems.
• Configure authentication, authorization, and role-based security in XSA/HDI.
• Implement REST/OData services and API integrations.

DevOps & Deployment

• Manage Git repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and transport management.
• Deploy and monitor applications using XSA cockpit and command line tools.
• Support containerization, version control, and automated builds.

Support & Governance

• Provide production support, incident resolution, and performance troubleshooting.
• Ensure coding standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Collaborate with functional, analytics, and integration teams.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Experience

• 10+ years of SAP technical experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on SAP HANA XSA / Native HANA development.
• Strong experience in SQLScript, Calculation Views, HDI containers, and XS Advanced services.

Technical Skills

• Programming: Node.js, Java, JavaScript, XSJS
• UI: SAP Fiori, SAPUI5
• Database: SAP HANA modeling & performance tuning
• Integration: OData, REST APIs, SLT, SDA, SDI
• DevOps: Git, Jenkins/CI-CD, transport management

Nice to Have

• Experience with S/4HANA Embedded Analytics or BW/4HANA.
• Exposure to SAP BTP, CAPM, or cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud integration.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
